Sanders Park, Bromsgrove

Construction of 2,500 m² of new, wider shared footpath/cycleway and bridge widening to improve walking and cycling routes through the park. All arisings from the works were re-distributed on site to alleviate low lying areas liable to flooding.

The wider paths were designed and constructed to enable the park to be accessed by a greater variety of users at all the times of the year and in all weather. Part of the cycleway was constructed using ‘no-dig’ techniques through woodland areas using a GeoGrid system.

The enhancement work was carried out whilst maintaining public access to the park/play areas and without disruption to planned events. Protection of flora and fauna on site was paramount throughout the delivery of this scheme.
