Working in conjunction with Whiting Landscape, Kelbec Civils Ltd was engaged to regenerate a brownfield site in Bromsgrove Town Centre. The site adjacent to Waitrose was the site of the former Market Hall which had been derelict for some years.
Together they constructed a new public realm area which incorporated salvaged material from the old site. New water and electric services were installed for the use of local traders and multiple different surface finishes were introduced, including block paving, artificial grass, timber decking and tarmac surfacing with specialist multicolour graphics.
The site was designed to be used by the community by providing outdoor seating and retail facilities for local traders.
